Grammy-nominated R&B artist Gene Noble unleashes the music video for his latest single, “Never Know,” an intoxicating slow-burner about the possibility of a relationship union. In the J. Lufair-directed clip, shot in southern California, the skepticism of Gene’s lyrics seems to take a backseat as he spends quality time with the girl he was unsure about locking down.
Noble says: “[Never Know] reflects all those ‘what if’ interactions we have on the daily. When you meet someone while you’re out, you never know what the outcome will be and since sky’s the limit, I decided to perform it in the sky.”
“Never Know,” the follow-up to “Stolen Moments,” featuring LaChardon, will appear on Gene’s forthcoming new album, Elevation, dropping this fall.
Regarding what to expect from Elevation, he said, “Elevation is currently a constant theme in my life. I realize I consume music and create music from an elevated place. Sometimes that means a mental elevation or rolling up or having a drink. I always want my music to be a source of some elevation. A way of heightening whatever moment you’re in. This project represents an elevation in my sound and in my career as well.”
Gene’s upcoming project features appearances from Shaggy, LaShon Don, and Keesha Reese, among others as it veers from social commentary to soulful crooning.
Gene is an accomplished, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter who has written for some of music’s top artists, including Rihanna, Chris Brown and Faith Evans. His 2016 single “Only Love” (feat. Pitbull and Shaggy) reached Top 40 status and was played on radio stations all over the world.
Gene Noble’s “Who is Gene Noble? Tour” kicks off on November 3rd in Los Angeles with confirmed stops in New York City on November 14th and Atlanta on November 17th.
