Bobby Brown has company in his new lawsuit against TV One to block the airing of the upcoming biopic about his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
Bobbi Kristina’s estate joined the suit, claiming the biopic violates Bobbi Kristina’s right to privacy, which they claim survived her death, TMZ reports.
As previously reported, Bobby argues that TV One “knowingly and maliciously” used his persona and life in the movie and promotion of the film.
He also claims the film “contains defamatory and untrue depictions” of him “being violent” towards the late Whitney Houston, and also says it suggests that he “does not love his daughter.”
The estate and Bobby want more than $2 million in damages, and they want the judge to prevent the airing of the show.
‘Bobbi Kristina’ is set to premiere on Sunday, Oct. 8. The film will follow Bobbi Kristina’s life as she tries to find an identity in her mother’s superstar shadow, while managing her toxic relationship with boyfriend Nick Gordon (who many believe contributed to her death on July 31, 2015).
