Rising pop singer Azra follows up her “Shine” single with the new record, “Gravity,” another track from her upcoming debut EP, Freedom, due out on March 3rd, 2017.
“‘Gravity’ was inspired by a personal struggle I had in a relationship where I felt taken for granted, and working on this song became therapeutic,” says Azra. “It was meant to be fun, catchy and serve as a message of self-empowerment and standing up for yourself. In addition, I wanted to empathize with other people in similar situations.”
‘Gravity’ is an empowering pop record!

Azra’s forthcoming Freedom EP features suave melodies and uplifting hooks, and is the result of Azra living life on her terms: authentically, and in her own unconventional way.
Originally from South Korea, Azra’s family moved to California when she was just 9 years old. It was through music that Azra – a natural-born performer – first began learning English. She spent her childhood honing her passion for music and dance through musical theater, bands, church choirs, and hip hop dance teams.
Azra eventually realized that music was a calling she could not escape, and decided to spend 2016 in LA writing and recording her debut EP. Freedom can only be described as a mixture of pop, rock, and dance. By sharing her own story, Azra hopes to inspire others to live life for themselves. You can pre-order the EP here.
