Ariana Grande Brings ‘Focus’ To the 2015 AMAs, Wins Best Female Pop/Rock Artist (Video)

Last night (Nov. 22), Ariana Grande let her hair down (literally) to perform for the first time ever her new single “Focus” on the 2015 American Music Awards.

Departing away from her siganture ponytail, she wore her signature brunette hair down in an old-Hollywood waves for a retro, pin-up, burlesque strip tease intro before disappearing behind the curtain and ripping off her gown into a short skirt ensemble for the sassy dance portion of the single.

Big band horns and a barrage of backup dancers backed Grande up as she belted her song for one of the biggest performances of the night.

Grande won the award for Best Female Pop/Rock Artist, and thanked her grandma she called "Nonna" durign her acceptance speech. "I think I owe a lot of this to my Nonna, who made who made sure to remind me that she voted," she said.
