Serbian Artist Eeva Gives Herself ’11 Weeks’ To Heal Her Heart

According to popular science, eleven weeks is the estimated period it takes to get over the end of a long-term relationship.

Whether this is true or not, this song is twenty-seven-year-old Serbian soulstress Eeva’s attempt to acknowledge and embrace all the emotions and phases that it takes to get over the loss so she can find courage and strength to move on.

On the song, she describes her healing process in this song as “digesting a goodbye” over this amazing instrumental of Flying Lotus’ “Between Friends” featuring Thundercat.

Eeva was a semi-finalist on the 2014 season of Serbia’s Got Talent when she received a shout out from Erykah Badu for performing her hit “On and On.” Her goal is to blend the styles of hip-hop and R&B into genuine and fresh appealing tunes similar to that of the golden era of hip-hop and R&B. Influenced by the 90's artists such as Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, The Roots, and Jill Scott and newer artists such as Frank Ocean, The Internet, Robert Glasper, Eeva is creating authentic, soulful vibes characterized by smooth vocals and honest lyrics based on her feelings and experiences.
