Jordan Bratton’s EP Youth is out tomorrow (May 12), his second project headed by the Chance The Rapper-assisted single “Prisoner.” Now he’s released a new tune from the set called “Bound.”
Bratton always seems to channel a sound much older than his teenage years. Here, Bratton is not “bound” by a contemporary R&B sound, opting more for a driving, 80s groove. He sings of salvation from a deity or amazing human being. “I once was lost but you found me / you saved my soul, I’m heaven bound,” he sings.
