Three aspiring new artists landed huge contracts with the mentor of a lifetime. Music superstar Beyonce reportedly signed three young ladies to her Parkwood imprint with deals totaling $1.5 million. Bey and her team asked a Manhattan judge to approve the five-year contracts, a required step since the girls are minors.
The first two signing comes as a package deal for LA-based sisters Chloe Bailey, 17, and Halle Bailey, 15. The teen duo caught Beyonce's manager's attention after covering her song "Pretty Hurts" on Youtube, which racked up over 10 million views.
According to the NY Post, the girls' father, Douglas, states in court papers, "We cannot think of a better person to help guide the girls," insisting his daughters "worship" Bey. The teen received a $1 million contract for up to six albums over five years, and Beyonce will earn 15 percent of the sisters' gross earnings.
The other deal is for 2012 "The X Factor" top 40 contestant Sophie Beem. The 14-year-old New Yorker was handed a $560,000 deal after wowing Parkwood executives.
