Looks like Christina Milian is taking her music into her own hands for once, especially during a time where her Young Money label is at odds with its predecessor, Cash Money Records.
The singer-actress just shot a music video for the single "Rebel," and while discussing the visual, she also shared news about an upcoming EP.
For the video, Tina Turn Up, who is dating rapper Lil Wayne, says, "I kind of dive into my man's heart" as she tugs on a parachute. She adds, "It's all about the realness and the rawness of my love; I'm diving in all the way head first."
Alton Glass, the video's director, adds: "Concept is sort of like diving into the sheets; it's like a seduction. Christina Milian just takes you on this journey."
"Rebel" will now live on an upcoming 5-song EP.
"I'm not waiting for anything to happen anymore; It's time to take control," Milian says of why she is dropping on EP. "It's one thing to have great ideas; it's another thing to move forward and make these things happen… We're just taking chances, taking risk, and trying new things. I would rather go out with a bang."
