Fresh, and the Sugarhill Gang allowed the musical genre to receive mainstream success. Throughout the 90s, rappers like Nas, Jay-Z, The Notorious BIG, Junior Mafia, Ja Rule, DMX, and Lil' Kim showed their musical talents to the world.
