English singer Laura Welsh links up with John Legend for “Hardest Part,” a single from her March 9 album, Soft Control. It’s a mellow tune about realizing you need that mysterious, wacky, person that drives you crazy in your life, as much as you hate to admit it.
Simple in melody and sentiment, the song presents Welsh and Legend’s chemistry on wax as they each take a verse before convening on the second chorus.
