K. Michelle is celebrating after landing her second No. 1 R&B album with ‘Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart.’
The sophomore set sold 84,000 copies in its first week with streaming consumption pushing it up to 87,000. The tally also helps her log the No. 6 position on the Billboard 200 album chart.
“Rebels Rock! 87,000 copies sold first week, makes "Anybody wanna buy a heart" my second #1 R&B billboard album this year,” K wrote on Twitter.
K. Michelle’s debut album, Rebellious Soul, also bowed at No. 1 with first week sales of 72,000 units.
Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart is another personal album for K. Michelle, fronted by singles and offerings “Love Em All,” “Maybe I Should Call,” “How Do You Know?” and “Going Under.”
Rapper J. Cole toppled Taylor swift for the top spot, and the most copies sold by a hip hop artist in a release week in 2014 by selling 371,000 copies of 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
