Mila J shows that she's a dependable ride-or-die chick in the music video for her latest offering, "Times Like This." In the 7-minute clip, the L.A. born songstress sticks by her boyfriend's side (played by Kevin McCall), who went from losing his job to being locked up in jail. The visual showcases the full downfall after losing everything to hitting the block for some fast money — to getting pinched and not snitching.
Nice to have a visual with a meaning!
Mila’s new EP, M.I.LA (Made In L.A.), drops today October 14 (order).
“I was born and raised in LA,” Mila told YKIGS. “It has about 5 songs on there and I’m excited about it because it’s actually a visual EP. I did shoot 5 videos for all the songs on there, so they’ll bring the story to life. Besides Ty being on “My Main”, I have Problem on a song. I have a song called “Champion” with B.o.B. There are a couple of features on there.”
She adds about how she wants fans to feel about her music, “I just want them to feel good. Obviously I want them to get a sense of me, but I just love 90’s music and I always say that because that era, I feel when you put on those albums even now, it’s just a certain feeling you have. I just want them to feel good.”
