K. Michelle’s rebels will have to wait much longer before they can get another tour from the R&B songstress. In an open letter to her fans, the “Can’t Raise a Man” singer says she will not do a part two of her "Rebellious Soul Tour," citing the need for inspiration and time to hear the “inner music” as she begins work on her sophomore album.
Check out what K had to say via IG:
Dear Rebels,
I will not be doing the Rebellious Soul Tour (Part 2). I personally decided that I wanted to take the next couple of months to journey off to some different places. A writer has nothing to write about with no inspiration. I will be traveling to South Africa to spend some time preparing for my new album #AWBAH, and reflect on the woman that I’ve become. I need this time for myself. So much has happened so quickly and I’m forever grateful. The only noise I desire to hear is the inner music. My soul has a song to sing and I have to be quiet to hear it. I have so much in store for you. I promise! Love y’all!
An artist should always know when they need time for creativity and judging by the comments on her IG post, her fans definitely understands.
In related news, K. Michelle also revealed the airdate for her upcoming Idris Elba-directed “Rebellious Soul Musical,” which is based off of her debut album “Rebellious Soul.”
She writes, “The Rebellious Soul Musical coming to VH1 in July. The story of a young girl. One mistake can change your whole life.”
