Need some Jagged Edge in your life? You’re in luck, because the multi-platinum quartet will release their eighth studio album J.E. Heartbreak Too this fall.
The Atlanta group, consisting of twin brothers Brian and Brandon Casey, Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman, are planning to release a brand new song from the album titled “Hope” this Friday, May 30. The tune is written by the twins Brian and Brandon and mega producer Bryan Michael Cox, and replicates the sound of their 2000 album J.E. Heartbreak.
So So Def CEO Jermaine Dupri is the album’s executive producer. "Making a sequel to a classic album is difficult," he said. "We don't want to stray from the blueprint of the first album. It's definitely a challenge, but the fans won't be disappointed."
This new era of JE sees them starting their own label Hard Case Records and reunited with their original management team, Mauldin Brand Agency. "Jermaine has given us the opportunity to launch our own HARD CASE Records with this venture. We are dedicating our first official single 'Hope' to single mothers all across the world," they say in a press release.
