Almost Here! Jazmine Sullivan Sets Date For Comeback Single

Soul/R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan will solidify her comeback on Monday, May 12, the date set for the arrival of her new single "Dumb."

“New music coming 5/12,” Jazmine wrote on Twitter Yesterday (May 5th).

According to reports, but not yet confirmed by Jazmine, the single will feature fellow Philly native Meek Mill, but it’s unclear what direction the record will take on.

It has been almost four years since Sullivan released her sophomore album 'Love Me Back,’ which arrived on November 29, 2010. In 2011, she shocked many of her peers and fans alike after announcing a semi-retirement from music.

In late March (2014), she confirmed the upcoming release of her third studio album during a sold-out comeback show at the KOKO Theater in London.

“It’s been awhile,” said Sullivan during the show at KOKO, which saw her running through her catalog of hits, covering popular songs, and she even premiered a new record titled "Masterpiece."

The 26-year-old took the industry by storm with her 2008 debut album Fearless, which boasted the singles “Need U Bad” and “Bust Your Windows.” Her critically-acclaimed sophomore effort, Love Me Back, saw a shortage in sales and awards.

5/12 Roomies!
