Ariana Grande says her new album could be available to music fans as early as August or September of this year.
Led by the recently released single, "Problem," feat. Iggy Azalea, the album is already "five times" more close to her heart than the breakthrough effort "Yours Truly."
"I never thought I'd be able to say this, but I love this [album] five times as much as I love 'Yours Truly.' They're different, but I love this one so much more," Grande shared with Billboard. "I'm a workaholic, and a perfectionist. It was a very exciting thing for me to all of a sudden have this new mission, to make something as special as 'Yours Truly,' and to put my time and effort into something new and something I want to make just as good, if not better."
With a release period in mind and anticipation brewing, Grande went on to confirm that her as-yet-untitled sophomore album will be more than an R&B affair. It will include EDM, which she calls "fantastic and super-experimental," and contributions from Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Key Wayne, Thomas Brown and Rodney Jerkins.
"Problem," featuring Iggy Azalea, is available now.
