The royalties are there, but we guess it's "in one hand, out the other" when it comes to the kids!
According to the gossip publication Page Six, R. Kelly’s ex-wife Andrea Kelly recently filed papers in a Chicago court that her R&B-hitmaking ex hasn’t paid the court-ordered amount of $20,895 in child support. Supposedly, the singer recently paid off a total of over $100,000 in owed child support from 2013.
But that’s not even the biggest of his worries: last November, Kelly failed to show up to a court for a family hearing, so his next court date of March 27 is vital for him to appear, or the judge can lock him up for up to six months for contempt of court.
Not only is Kelly ghost when it comes to court and CS payments, it’s also said he can’t be found when it comes to paying those who worked with him on his Black Panties album, which dropped in December (2013).
Come to think of it, he hasn’t been seen promoting the album since it dropped. Maybe this is why!
