Makeba Riddick-Woods, the songwriter behind Tamar Braxton's recent R&B hit song "Love and War" as well as countless other hits for stars like Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and more have landed the Senior Vice-President of A&R post at The Chemists. The multi-faceted entertainment company, launched in 2013, is currently the home of Billy Bang and R&B singer Anthony Lewis.
In addition to her role at Chemists, Makeba is in the studio recording new material for Tamar, J. Lo, and others.
The Grammy Award winner has also hinted at a major joint venture publishing company: "I can’t say who the publisher is yet, but it’s gonna be historic because I will be the first black woman to do so."
She continued, "I’m so excited about breaking down doors for women and most especially black women in this music industry. To be able to make the power moves that the men do."
