Singer-songwriter producer Steff Reed has created material for Trey Songz, Lil Mo, Raekwon, Bridget Kelly, Kenny Lattimore, and Jhene Aiko among others, but now he’s stepping into the limelight with his debut EP “#TheIntervention.”
Reed has been performing in NYC as a solo act. He has been mixing Rock elements for an alternative R&B sound, which is displayed on the eight-track set that digs into Reed’s life experiences. Examples of this are found in “Sadistic” and “Trials of Job,” and “Out On The Ledge,” all of which address some heavy topics. His respect for the art of wordplay is shown on “Eulogy” and “The Intervention,” each spoken word pieces featuring two of three of the EP’s features, singer-songwriter-record producer Gordon Chambers and Brooklyn singer-songwriter Cocoa Sarai.
“I’ve contributed to so many amazing people’s careers which has been great. I’m now putting that energy into empowering myself and create a new platform and it’s been amazing,” he said.
