Jennifer Hudson is back and kicking off a new era with a new single and forthcoming third studio album.
Tapping Pharrell Williams ("Blurred Lines"), Hudson released "I Can't Describe" as her lead single Tuesday.
With a feature from T.I., the track has a little bit of a throwback feel, reminiscent of Pharrell's recent works, including Robin Thicke's breakthrough and chart-topping hit "Blurred Lines."
“Working with a visionary like Pharrell was a really special experience for me," Hudson, a Grammy winner, said in a statement. “He is one of the most talented musicians of our time and I couldn’t be more proud of what we did together.”
"I Can't Describe" leads Hudson's as-yet-untitled third studio album, which is due via RCA this Winter. The album is also expected to include contributions from Timbaland and Salaam Remi.
Hudson can also be seen in theaters via "Winnie" and "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete."
