There is nothing like a song that leaves you saying; who was that? There is no doubt that you were talking about these following artists. These four singers were featured on the hottest songs of the summer which climbed to the top of the charts. Ray Dalton, Tiara Thomas, Mikky Ekko and James Fauntleroy all are artists that we have come to love and enjoy. We sing their parts loud and proud, every time it comes around. Hook, line, and sinker is the saying and these artists managed to hook us into wanting more. These artists went above and beyond in their featured hooks and verses on these hits and brought it to life (and it’s not even their song). No opening acts here!
Yes of course you have heard their voices but have you seen them and can you recognize them? hopefully we will get much more from this band of talented artists but for now we will enjoy the bangers they are on at the moment.
Who do you like in this group?
Is there an artists we missed?
Tiara Thomas added that special touch to “Bad” by Wale. Tiara has been around for a good while. With such a strong presence and following on Youtube, she has managed to book numerous shows and showcases. It was at a showcase where Wale snatched her up and signed her to his label “The Board Administration”. Between cooking up magic with Wale, Tiara nabbed a spokesperson deal with American Eagle. With the huge success of “Bad”, Tiara began to catch the attention of many and end up leaving Wale label and signed with Rico Love on the Division 1 label. Needless to say that caused drama. Past the drama and the label changes, that doesn’t compare to the extraordinary talent that Tiara has. Tiara is a headliner. Watch her work!!!
James Fauntleroy held it down on “Girls Love Beyonce” by Drake. This joint is hot but got a serious groove to it. James Fauntleroy is a veteran in his own right. This man has been the pen for artists like Beyonce, Chris Brown, Drake, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Diddy; the list really just goes on and on. If that isn’t enough, James along side Justin Timberlake and producer Rob Knox are a production group called The Y’s (the magic force behind Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience). Beside is impeccable writing talent, his vocal talent is also amazingl. Although he does sing background on some records, he really gets to showcase his vocals on “Girls Love Beyonce”. Even though James has proven himself as a writer and producers, it’s time for us to hear his voice on his track.
Mikky Ekko added a smooth element to the song “Stay” by Rihanna. Who is that guy singing with Rihanna in “Stay”? Ladies and Gentleman, its Mikky Ekko,! We were able to put a face to his voice during the 2013 Grammys when he performed, but Mikky is no stranger when it comes to the music business. He got his start in 2009, writing and producing his own EP called “Strange Fruit”. After collaborating with other producers and writing for other artists, Ekko gained #1 success with Rihanna and hasn’t looked back since. Working on his debut album with acclaimed producer, Clams Casino, Mikky is sure to be staying on the top of the charts.
Ray Dalton added some spice to “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Who knew that giving up a position as tennis instructor would result in 1 million singles sold? Ray Dalton is the perfect example of what it means to take a leap of faith. Now, look where it has landed him. With roots in gospel music and influences by Earth Wind and Fire, Fleetwood Mac, and Babyface, his sound was destined to be unique. In 2012, Ray released his first single called “So Emotional”, a smooth love ballad that exposes his undeniable vocal ability and talent. He is on his way to becoming a household name. Watch out for this Ray of sunshine.
