Slick Rick's "Hey Young World" is remodeled into the storyline of a roller-coaster love relationship in "Someone New". L.A. native Treasure Davis' voice is distinctive, her raspy vocal texture adds to the carefree attitude of the song.
The newcomer joined Bystorm Entertainment, the same record label that discovered Miguel and J. Cole. Prior to dropping "Someone New," Davis earned songwriting credits for works performed by Chris Brown and the PussyCat Dolls.
