Mariah Carey will take use of the publicity boost from her single season on FOX's American Idol to get her music career back on track. With the growing success of the R&B diva's new single "#Beautiful," which features crooner Miguel, Carey is plotting a new album for this summer, a world tour, plus she is also set to appear in an upcoming film.
"The rest of this year is jam packed with Mariah putting the finishing touches on her much anticipated forthcoming album, headlining the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and appearing in Lee Daniel's 'The Butler,' opening in August which boasts an all-star cast including Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, Vanessa Redgrave, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lenny Kravitz and many others," states Carey's PR firm. "Riding high on the massive success of her unprecedented multiplatform her new single "#beautiful" (featuring Miguel) she is embarking on a much anticipated world tour that kicks off this October in Asia."
Carey's "#Beautiful" is currently sitting at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, in addition to being "#1 in 30+ countries so far," tweets her rep.
