Lauryn Hill may be going through troubling financial times, but there is one person who says he will always have her back: former Fugee member Wyclef Jean.
The two may have lost touch and had their share of awkward public moments regarding paternity of Hill’s first born son, but when it comes to what matters, Clef says his “door is always open” if Lauryn needs him. While talking to Boss Lady on Invasion radio, Clef was unaware of Hill’s recent troubles, but he offered an outstretched hand to the troubled singer in support.
"I definitely wish her the best. That’s definitely a serious issue. And, once again, if she's listening, at the end of the day, my door is always open. You know? I never closed my door toward her, in the sense of she ever needed anything I was never the one to block. Because at the end of the day this is one thing I learned about life: Yo, we could beef as much as we want but if something was to really happen to her I would feel bad."
Hill is getting a second chance to repay a nearly $1 million debt to the IRS after her sentencing was postponed until May 6.
