Fans can now rejoice as Janelle Monáe unleashes her brand new single, Q.U.E.E.N., featuring soul veteran Erykah Badu. On the funky track, the two ladies shake off the naysayers and the opinionators with confidence and empowerment. "It’s not a single. It’s a musical experience," says Monae.
"Erykah and I are really close. We talk all the time. So this song is really inspired by conversations that she and I have had and we’ve had in the past. It’s really a dialogue that you will hear," Monae told the LA Times on how the collaboration came about.
"Q.U.E.E.N." will appear on Monáe's much anticipated forthcoming album, The Electric.
