After Chris Brown was accused of falsifying the amount of community service hours in the Rihanna assault case, Police Chief Bryan Norwood of the Richmond, Virginia Police Department has resigned after also being accused of helping Brown by signing off on false community service hours.
According to TMZ, prosecutors claim that Brown failed to prove the amount of hours he’s served. They believe Norwood was a part of a cover up to approve of hours that which Brown never worked.
Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones backed Norwood’s decision to step down, and now the judge wants Brown to prove the legitimate amount of hours.
Replacing Norwood is Assistant Chief of Police Ray J. Tarasovic, who will break his retirement to step in Norwood’s position.
