“I don’t intend to stop making music. This isn’t a faux retirement. It’s no bullshit. I was just making music yesterday. But I do think â it would be f**king legendary if I just made Channel Orange last year, then put out a best-selling novel next year, then, you know, designed an arena in Stockholm in 2014! I don’t know! You just do what you can and you have as much fun as possible, and love your life as much as you can despite the bullshit and all the expectations and shit,” Ocean told UK’s Guardian. “You just do what the f**k you wanna do at the end of the day, and don’t give a f**k. As long as your intentions are solid, and about growth and progression and being productive and not being idle, then you’re doing good in my book.” – Frank Ocean.
Yes, we all have to make a living regardless of what we do. It just seem some people have more options. Frank Ocean had a remarkable year in music this year and it will open the door for other opportunities. It will be exciting to see what he gets into. Hey, Jay-Z is a basketball team owner and P. Diddy has the clubs sparkling with his Ciroc vodka. The sky is the limit!
Okay, so we don’t have to worry about Mr. Ocean disappearing and leaving us without his smoothed out emotion drenched version of R&B or Emo& B we’ve grown to love. He has been able to write some of the most prolific lyrics of the year and penned for some of the hottest artists in the game. He is a modern day hybrid of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye. Maybe we can call him Stevie Hathaway Gaye … or maybe not. But anyway, his music and stance on social issues has been so impactful, how about if he had another career or job? He seems like he would be able to do so many things. Here are a couple careers that Frank Ocean might have some skills at.
What do you think Frank Ocean could be other than a singer/songwriter? (You can pick the tenth job.)
