10 of The Freakiest R&B Artists

Freaky is not something you plan or do one time. It is something inside of you that helps you to get in touch with your primitive side. Some artists have that special ability. I took the liberty of highlighting ten artists that have shared their “freakdom” with us.

CLICK HERE and read through the list of artists and let me know who you think is the king or queen of the freaks?

By the way … did we miss any freaks? (It takes a freak to know a freak! lol)

Adina Howard

Adina Howard

I think I might have had a couple wet dreams about Ms. Howard. She helped me through puberty and probably helped a lot of other 80’s babies through their wonder years. She was sexy, strong and free. She was able to set the freaky stage for female artists to follow. The thing that made Adina freaky yet unique was she let you know she was freaking.

Prince

Prince

The women love to throw bras and panties on stage during his concert. He also has introduced and dated some of the SEXIEST women on the planet. The list includes bombshells like Vanity, Apollonia and Carmen Electra. I am still waiting to see whom else he will bring out. For the guy who wore cut off booty tights, it’s safe to say that he was and still is a super freak. Prince is pure sexuality in the form of a man. It doesn’t get freakier then this folks (You have to be a freak to rock high heels so well.)

Pretty Ricky

Pretty Ricky

If you haven’t listened to an entire album, please make sure you do that. They go freak line for freak line over freaky beats wearing freaky clothes. They have mimicked there style after the freakiest and baddest group from the 90’s like Jodeci, H-Town and Silk. Songs like “Grind On Me”, “Your Body” and names like Pleasure P and Sexy Spec aka Spectacular says enough. “Sexy Spec” even does youtube vlogs to showcase his freakdom. Doesn’t get freakier then that.

Rick James

Rick James

RIP to the freaky legend. The self-proclaimed super freak has had countless stories of his freaky exploits revealed through music and accounts on shows like “The Chappelle Show”. He is an old school freak, which set the standard in the 80’s. Even industry heavy weights like the Murphy brothers can co-sign some of these stories. There is no doubt that Rick James should make this list, heck, one of his biggest hits was titled “Super Freak”.

R. Kelly

R. Kelly

If it’s not the golden shower, which we’ll stay far away from, it would probably be the countless songs which were crafted for just not love making, but ultimate freak sessions. Let’s be honest, R. Kelly may have his faults, but he is a genius at making music that can get you into a lot of intimate situations that you probably couldn’t dream up yourself. Mr. Kelly speaks and sings for the freak in all of us. If there were a freak crown, he probably would be wearing one now. He’s probably doing something freaky as we speak. All hail the king of the freaks …. R. Kelly.

Jodeci

Jodeci

In a time that has lost the male group, we have to pay homage to a group that pioneered the freaky bad boy image. They helped to give a blueprint to groups and solo artists such as Pretty Ricky, 112, Jagged Edge, Chris Brown and Trey Songz.

Erykah Badu

Erykah Badu

Erykah is a very attractive, sexy and a sensual artist. She seemed more on the innocent, earthy side early in her career, but as time goes on I think we are seeing the freak in her that was always there. She has had babies with or been in relationships with artists like Andre 3000, DOC, Common, and Jay Electronica. It seems that we can say she turns them out. Wouldn’t you agree?

Chris Brown

Chris Brown

Listen, he doesn’t necessarily come off as the traditional “freak,” but he must have been doing a lot of freaky ish to keep Rihanna coming back for more. With lyrics like “lick my persuasion/ Eat my poison/And swallow your pride down, down,” pretty much tells a tale of forced “freakdom.” He’s guilty by association. However, I will say that Chris Brown looks like he had some type of control, and let’s not forget that he doesn’t mind getting the ladies to “Strip” or make them “Wet The Bed” after he “Takes You Down.”

Trey Songz

Trey Songz

Mr. “I Invented Sex” knows exactly whom he is singing to. He is speaking and singing specifically to the ladies. There is no question that he might be one of today’s hottest sex symbols. He reveals his freaky side on stage and through his music. Songs like “Neighbors Know My Name”, “I Invented Sex” and “Panty Droppa” show how freaky Trey can get.

Drake

Drake

Yes, it is a list of R&B artists ,but Drake is an R&B artist. He sings more than R&B artists do so he might as well be on the list. Drake is also on the list because of Rihanna. He doesn’t really strike me as a freak, but you can’t put nothing pass those light skinned guys… you never know what they are up to. But anyway, Rihanna says “I want you to be my sex slave/Anything that I desire.” Drake probably would reply by saying “Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I’m just honored to be your sex slave Rihanna” (smiling) Numerous times he talks about how he loves to study girls. Its something he focuses on. “I am inspired by the women. I am inspired by the make up of a woman. Their conversation and emotions. I love to learn how to interact with them. ” I’m thinking the interaction he’s talking about can probably get freaky.
