Kelly Rowland has position herself to takeover the charts again, returning with a collaboration with Lil Wayne and platinum songwriter Sean Garrett. Last time Rowland and Wayne worked together the pair produced “Motivation,” which shot to the top of US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Sticking to the success formula, Rowland added the assistance of platinum songwriter Garrett to help create “Ice,” the lead single from her fourth solo album on Universal Republic Records.
Sean “The Pen” Garrett, whose known for “Diva (Beyonce)” and “Massive Attack (Nicki Manji),” declared the forthcoming record a smash. “We mixing another smash that will be out on Thur!!! We droppin new singles errrr week on different I’m back B***h!” he stated.
As of late, Kelly Rowland has been attached to television show duties so she was excited to tell fans that a new record was on the way. She gave fans a preview by dropping the lyrics on Twitter, “Your lovin’ be givin’ me chills, you’re like ice. Ice, ice baby, shake that thing just like dice baby.”
Outside of Garrett, Ms. Rowland has been recording material for the forthcoming project with Kevin Cossom, Amber “Se7en” Streeter, Lonny Bereal, Nikeshia Briscoe, Eric Bellinger, Redd Stylez, Rodney Jerkins, The Runners, Eric Hudson, and Rico Love.
