Bobbi Kristina Tells Oprah: I’ve Accepted My Mother’s Death

While she admits the reality of her mother’s death “comes in waves,” Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston’s daughter, has “accepted” her death.

“Sometimes, it’s so surreal. I still walk into the house like, ‘Mom?,” Bobbi Kristina told Oprah during Oprah’s Next Chapter Sunday. “But I’ve accepted it.”

In the candid and emotional interview, watched by many Sunday, Bobbi Kristina also recounted the night before Houston’s death.

“I slept in her arms all day, all night long,” she said, recalling the fact that she asked her mother to spend the night with her, not knowing it would be their last together.

Nonetheless, Bobbi Kristina knows her mother is always with her. Calling her spirit “a strong spirit” she feels “all the time,” she knows her mother has got her.

“She’s always with me. Her spirit is strong. It’s a strong spirit. I feel her pass through me all the time,” Bobbi Kristina told Oprah. “It comes in waves. One moment I can be happy and laughing, but then it comes over me. It’s my mom.”
