Sean Garrett, a graduate of the University of Maryland and a platinum songwriter, is encouraging New York City students to pledge to the City’s “I Will Graduate Day” program.
The “I Will Graduate Day” goal is to empower students through workshops, mentorship and provide support to help students graduate from high school. Sean Garrett along with MTV’s Sway Calloway, BET’s Terrance J, Jim Jones, Maino and Wynter Gordon, in addition to local leaders and school administrators will make appearances and perform for the students.
The third annual campaign to improve children education was organized by Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, Inc. (E4EA), an organization created to prevent youths from dropping out school and to increase educational achievement in our students.
The “I Will Graduate Day” will culminate with a pep rally on October 26, 2011, hosted by MTV’s Sway Calloway and a concert hosted by Cipha Sound of the HOT 97.1fm morning radio show.
