R&B newcomer Mateo is gearing up for the release of his debut album after unleashing the critically acclaimed mixtape “Love and Stadiums.” Executive produced by songwriter-producer, Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, who signed Mateo to his Krucial Noise label following the singer’s departure from MySpace Records, the set will feature Brothers’ long-time collaborator Alicia Keys.

“We’re working on the album right now, we’ve got some really exciting things happening, got a surprise guest appearance on the album — her last name ends in Keys! It’s crazy for me because she’s actually signed up for the project,” Mateo tells J-14 Magazine.

No word on a release date for the untitled effort. For now fans can check out Mateo’s mixtape “Love and Stadiums,” which boast features from Pusha T, Goapele, Gilbere Forte’ and more.
