Rihanna is not happy with MTV Canada after they posted a fabricated story online that claims she wrote on Twitter: “I admit it. I provoked Chris to hit me. It was not entirely his fault. #ImSORRY.” Learning of the post Rihanna fired back with, “@mtvnewscanada are u f**king kiddin me?????? You’re supposed to be a RELIABLE source for news on music and this is the bulls**t u post??” The news outlet quickly pulled the story and tweeted, “#Rihanna fans. We were reporting on a story that was posted on several sites today. We had no intention to be salacious.”

Entertainer and animal lover Leona Lewis is at piece after officials in her native Britain agreed to ban the use of wild animals in circuses. Lewis, an avid animal rights supporter, team up with politician Diane Abbott to fight for the cause, after learning zebras, lions, tigers and camels are currently being used in three traveling circuses in the U.K. “Such incredible news today! Thanks (Abbott) for supporting the circus animal ban! U have made the difference!” Lewis writes on Twitter, adding, “We did it! We did it! I’m just so happy thank u all for supporting the ban our voices were heard!” The ban could take effect by next summer.
R&B singers Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo and rapstress Nicki Minaj are the latest entertainers to be confirmed as guests for the 2011 BET Awards. The trio will joined previously announced guest including, Chris Brown, Lloyd, Miguel, Taraji P Henson, Swizz Beatz, Queen Latifah, Ledisi, Justin Bieber, Gladys Knight, and Big Sean. Comedian Kevin Hart will host the night, while Nick Cannon will host the pre-show. The 2011 BET Awards air Sunday, June 26 at 8pm.
