Jennifer Lopez nabbed a win in court yesterday (June 6). The American Idol judge was able to successfully block her first husband Ojani Noa and current girlfriend Claudia Vazquez from releasing a home video which was shot during the ex-couples honeymoon.
Vazquez’s lawyer confirmed that the plan to auction the reportedly 21 plus hours of footage to interested porn websites was postponed.
“(Vazquez) will respect the court’s orders,” Lawyer Armenta tells the MailOnline. “The ultimate goal has been to work in this industry as a producer and she (Vazquez) got the green light to continue to do that.”
Lopez has been going through a tumultuous battle with Noa and Vazquez, who he sold the tapes to for $1, from releasing the footage to the world, claiming the video violated a confidentiality agreement that the couple signed after their marriage ended. The couple now plans to make a fill from the home video and hopes Lopez doesn’t interfere.
Vazquez’s lawyer adds: “We hope that Ms Lopez will also obey the court’s order and not attempt to interfere with her right to make a film.”
