Multi-Grammy winner Beyonce will release her highly anticipated fourth solo studio album â4,’ on June 28th. The set is lead by the first single “Run The World (Girls),” which the R&B diva released the music video for recently. Filmed in Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert over three days in April, the Francis Lawrence-directed video boasts a cast of over 200 dancers, a menagerie of exotic animals and Beyonce as the leader of a stunning army of women.
â4,’ which was recorded over a year between the spring of 2010 and the spring of 2011, is a very personal album for Beyonce. “We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” Beyonce told Billboard. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding. “
The set is also a personal gift for fans around the world and it encompasses every kind of music she truly enjoys.
