EXCLUSIVE: Goapele Talks Bolder Delayed ‘Milk & Honey’ Album

It’s been over five years since soul songstress Goapele released her third studio album ‘Change It All,’ and she has been working on the follow-up ever since. The forthcoming set, ‘Milk & Honey,’ will illustrate Goapele’s sexiness, as she recently stated, pushing her to do a proper release.

“I’m really excited about it. I’ve been working on it for the past couple of years and it’s a little bolder, lyrically; just showing the range of my emotions,” Goapele tells Singersroom. “This one is more focused personally.”

Goapele continues, “Just really making sure it’s the right album at the end of the day and put [it] out in the right way. That means a lot to me.”

Another reason Goapele wants to make sure things go right is marketing, an obstacle that she faced with her last effort.

“I wish that the ‘Change It All’ album got more support than it did, but I feel like I’m in a good place right now where I really do feel that I’m free to make whatever decisions that I want on whatever timeline I want,” she says.
