SINGERSROOM ROUNDS: Alicia Keys and HP, Backs Bobby Brown, Mya Outer Space

Sunday’s GRAMMY telecast will include a new Hewlett Packard commercial with 13-time GRAMMY Award-winner Alicia Keys. The collaboration will launch their new “Everybody On” global marketing campaign created to demonstrate how people around the world use HP products and technology in their everyday lives in order to pursue their dreams. In the commercial, Keys tells the story behind her first album “Songs in A Minor (2001),” how HP technology helps her record music, and her appreciation for how it lets people hear her music the way she intends for it to sound.

R&B singer Mya, who will release “a Japan LP this March, which includes ‘Fabulous Life,’” wants to travel outer space. I would like to travel to outer space; I know Virgin America is offering tickets now for a trip in the future so that would be really cool,” she tells NBC. “I’ve wanted to do that since I was a kid. And hopefully, I’ll still be living in the District running my foundation and working on new goals.” Until Mya takes her trip, you can catch her in the movie, The Heart Specialist, which takes place in a hospital and focuses around a group of young doctors, which Mya says is “funny and relatable. I play the role of Valerie and I’m in love with one of my co-workers.”
