Mr. prerogative is ready to take music by storm. R&B veteran Bobby Brown is gearing up for the release of a new album this spring via B Brown Productions/Bronx Bridge Entertainment. The set is lead by the first single âGet Out The Way,â which will premiere on TV One’s âWay Black Whenâ on February 9th.
âI look forward to putting out the new CD,â said Brown, adding âand the performance that airs next month is to show everyone that B. Brown is back. In fact, I never left.â
Bobby Brown came on the scene in the late 80âs with his schoolmates, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell, to form New Edition. He left the group and released his debut solo album âKing of Stageâ in 1987 that produced the hit âGirlfriendâ. His follow-up album âDonât Be Cruelâ, sold over 7 million copies and had 5 top ten hits as well as garnered him a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance, Male in 1989, and contributed to Ja Ruleâs single, âThug Lovinâ in 2002 which won Brown a Source Award for R&B/Rap Collaboration of the Year for 2003.
In addition to the new project, Brown is also working on a reality television show in which he will appear with his fiancée Alicia Etheredge.
