Michelle Williams Tapped For New Stage Play

Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams continue to boost her solo career through various avenues. Fresh off a successful run on Britain’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ the “We Break The Dawn” singer was reportedly tapped for the new stage play “What My Husband Doesn’t Know” along with actor Brian White.

From playwright David E. Talbert, “What My Husband Doesn’t Know” is about a married woman, who is the envy of all her friends, gets tired of her successful husband leaving her alone in bed most nights. She stumbles across a young foreman who is hired to do some work in her home and something ignites between the two. She finds that this new flame might be the missing piece in her love life.

Williams is no stranger to stage plays. She previously landed roles in Aida, The Color Purple and several runs on the Tony Award winning Chicago.

“My Husband Doesn’t Know” will begin its national tour in February.

In related news, Williams is currently working on her fourth studio album scheduled to drop sometime this year. The set, which will include production from hit producer Timbaland, will have a “bit of a similar sound to Unexpected(2008) although it might contain more dance.”
