As the music industry continues to go through its digital transition, former Destinyâs Child member LeToya Luckett continues to find ways to stay a float. The spokeswoman for Luster’s Pink Brand Smooth Touch has reportedly landed a recurring role on the new HBO drama âTreme.â Set in post Katrina New Orleans, âTremeâ follows the daily lives of a group of residents trying to rebuild after the devastating effects of hurricane. Adding more to her resume, Luckett was also casted in the upcoming film âFrom the Rough,â which also stars Taraji P. Henson and Tom Felton. Currently in pre-production, the film is schedule for a fall 2011 release. Luckett is no stranger to the big screen. She made her first TV appearance on the WB show “Smart Guy” back in 1998 with Destiny’s Child. Since 2008 she has taken part in several plays and movies. This year alone she starred in the movie Preacher’s Kid (Jan. 2010) with Tank and appeared in the film Killers (Jun 2010), along with Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Tom Selleck and Usher. LeToya recently stated and she is in the studio working on her third studio album, due out in 2011.
