Following up his No. 1 single “Deuces,” industry insiders say R&B singer Chris Brownâs new song âYeah 3Xâ will be a top hit like “Forever.” The feel-good track, already racking up early major-market airplay in Chicago, San Francisco, Denver and Las Vegas, is available at iTunes today. “Yeah 3X” (produced by DJ Frank E), was co-written by Brown, Franks, Kevin McCall and Amber Streeter. âIt was brought to me by DJ Frank-E and I was just in the studio writing for other artists and myself. I heard the track and I was like man this is incredible,â Brown says in the interview about Yeah 3X. âIt kind of gave me the âForeverâ feeling so I wanted to do more of a song for my pop audience. Iâve been doing a lot of mix-tape stuff, a lot of urban recordsâ¦the pop audience didnât really have anything to gauge from so I really wanted to give them this and I feel like Yeah 3X is something different, something new and itâs just [a] positive record. Itâs not anything too over the top; itâs just right where it needs to be.â “Deuces,” meanwhile, continues its No. 1 reign with nine weeks at the top of Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Brown recently released a remix to the track featuring Andre 3000, T.I., Drake, Kanye West, Rick Ross and Fabolous which has proven to be successful as well.
