BET Awards Faceoff: Jay-Z vs. Beyonce, Who Will Win?

Jay-Z may be the king of the hip hop game, and most would call Beyonce the queen diva of R&B and pop, but only one can be crowned champion at the 2010 BET Music Awards airing this Sunday. Jay is leading with five nominations, but Bey is close behind with four. Will Jay beat his wife, will Beyonce outshine her man, or could it be a tie? Let’s take a look at who’s most likely to win.

Best Collaboration

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys were nominated for “Empire State of Mind” and Beyonce was included in this category for “Video Phone” with Lady Gaga.

Our predicted winner: Jay-Z

Video of the Year

Beyonce’s “Video Phone may be a contender, but Jay got two noms, one for “Empire State of Mind” and another for “Run This Town” with Rihanna and Kanye West.

Our predicted winner: Jay-Z. After all, he does have two chances.

Viewer’s Choice

Jay-Z was nominated once again for “Empire State of Mind” although Beyonce was picked for “Sweet Dreams” this time.

Our predicted winner: Jay-Z (unless Young Money wins for “Bedrock”)

Best Female R&B Artist/ Best Male Hip Hop Artist

Naturally, this dynamic duo were also nominated for their respective categories.

Our predicted winners: Neither. We’re going with Rihanna for Best Female R&B artist and Drake for Best Male Hip Hop artist.

THE CHAMP: If our predictions are correct, Jay-Z will win three BET Music Awards on Sunday and Beyonce will walk away with none, meaning Hova will reign supreme.
