Despite being deemed “not fit to perform,” Whitney Houston’s concert promoter says the diva is fine health wise and might have been out of breath in a “couple songs”. “It was not a train wreck,” McManus told press Tuesday. “She was hitting most of the notes, yes her throat was a little croaky.” While Houston’s health has been brought up from concerned fans and via a report issued by the National Enquirer, claiming Houston’s family had asked her to scale back the tour, McManus says “Her health is fine but she’s also not 22 years of age anymore.” More than anything McManus wants people to understand that Whitney Houston is not the same as she was twenty years ago. He goes on to say that Houston is not “up to scratch of the Whitney of 20 years ago. But I don’t apologize for that, she had a red-hot go.” Sources say Houston’s “Nothing But Love Tour” will continue as scheduled.
