Embattled Jackson Doctor Murray Back To Work

Embattled Doctor Conrad Murray, the at once live in physician caring for late entertainer Michael Jackson, is headed back to work this week. Involved in an intense investigation surrounding the death of Jackson since June, sources Murray will resume office hours due to mounting debt and patients who continue to support him amidst controversy. In a statement issued through the Associated Press, Murray’s attorney, Edward Chernoff, said “His legal fees are enormous and his debts have mounted to the point where it is unclear whether he will be able to keep his house or support his family. His intentions are to attend to these patients who have continued to support him, despite the attention and despite the threats.” As early as last week, records were unsealed indicating that Murray had in fact purchased propofol, a drug reported to be in Michael Jackson’s system at the time of death in June. While Murray is returning to work in Houston, his Las Vegas office has been closed due to threats and harassment of patients entering and exiting the office. In related news, Michael Jackson made history by breaking a record for most American Music Awards by a single artist during Sunday’s 37th Annual American Music Awards. Winning a total of four awards, Jackson’s memory and music lived on before an audience who applauded his brother, Jermaine, as he accepted awards on his behalf (see photos from the awards HERE).
