Maxwell Can’t Help It, ‘Habits’ Earns 5th Week On Top

Maxwell is unstoppable on the Urban AC and Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. The “Pretty Wings” singer, who has held down the no.1 spot for much of the summer and fall thanks to music from his first album in over six years, (“Blacksummers’night”) earned a fifth consecutive week atop the Urban AC chart last week. Replacing “Pretty Wings,” Maxwell’s “Bad Habits” has overtaken the chart and shows no signs of letting up. In related news, Maxwell picked up an award for Best R&B/Soul Male at the Centric distributed Soul Train Awards last week. The show, which features performances from Toni Braxton, Trey Songz, Chico Debarge, Ginuwine and more, airs on BET and Centric November 29.
