Music fans took to the net in rapid numbers Tuesday for the premiere of Rihanna’s anticipated single “Russian Roulette”. While the song was penned by frequent collaborator Ne-Yo, who wrote the smash hit “Take A Bow,” fans seem to either love or hate the single… Citing a seeming growth, or maturity, likened to comments from Justin Timberlake, some fans say “Russian Roulette” was the best choice for Rihanna. “There’s a maturity about this song that’s on another level for her,” a fan wrote on Singersroom after listening to the song. Ironically, Ne-Yo nearly said the same of his time working on the record with Rihanna. He told sources that Rihanna has a lot to say on this record and will say it, earlier this week. According to a few fans, however, she should have picked another song to say whatever she has to say. “This is a bad song for the first single and live is gonna be worst….. bad choice Riri, your era is over,” one fan wrote, implying that another song would have made a bigger impact. From somewhat bad to the worst, some question the hype over the track. “I don’t see what all the hype is about…Ugh… (people) give her more attention then she deserves…,” another listener wrote on Singersroom. Regardless of opinion, Rihanna dominated Tuesday’s net traffic, ending up at no.1 on Yahoo’s search tally, while also dominating Twitter conversations. How do you feel about “Russian Roulette” …. Mature or Overrated ?
