Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” is still on fire thanks to the forthcoming 2009 World Music Awards. Up for Best Song of the Year, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” is currently battling Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face;” The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Got A Feeling;” Kelly Rowland and David Guetta’s “When Love Takes Over;” and Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” on the forthcoming celebration of music’s official website. Revealing nominees late last week, the World Music Awards are currently allowing fans a chance to vote for their favorite song/artist. The 2009 World Music Awards are due to take place November 3 in Monaco. A full list of nominees and performers will be released at a later date. Earlier this year, sources claimed that a Michael Jackson related tribute would take place during this year’s show. At press time however, no such announcement had been made.
