Move over Tyler Perry, Beyonce has her eyes set on Hollywood, even if she’s not starring in the film. Speaking on the heels of receiving Billboard’s Woman of the Year award, Beyonce expressed interest in filming documentaries. “I also want to continue to produce films — even if I’m not in them — as well as a documentary on my life,” says the “Obsessed” actress, who aided in production (executive producer) of the 2009 flick starring Idris Elba and Ali Carter. While the prospect of doing such work may be a few years away, according to Beyonce, one documentary subject she definitely has her eyes set on is none other than her father, Mathew Knowles. “I’d like to do a film loosely based on my father’s (Mathew Knowles) childhood and school years. He’s had an interesting life. But that will probably be in a couple of years.” For now, Beyonce will continue to tour in support of the 2008 album “I Am… Sasha Fierce” with no specific plans to record a follow up. In fact, the diva is set to tour through March of next year while reading scripts in hopes of claiming an Oscar (Academy Award). As previously reported, Beyonce was honored at Billboard’s annual Women In Music brunch Friday. Created to celebrate the accomplishments of women in entertainment, Women in Music also crowned MTV Video Music Award winner Lady Gaga a ‘rising star’. Past honorees include Ciara and Deborah Harry.
