Whitney Houston is humbled by all support showered upon her over the last few weeks leading up to the release of “I Look To You”. Covering the latest issue of EBONY, Houston says “I’m really humbled, and I thank God that people love me”. “But I (really) thank God that God loves me. I thank Him for chastening my heart, for never letting go. What I did sometime, I went off and did my thing, but He never let me go.” Houston is not the only one proud of “I Look To You” and her seeming new lease on life. Cousin and fellow entertainer Dionne Warwick is proud and thrilled with Houston’s return. “I am thrilled for her. She sounds wonderful. She sounds happy. That’s the one thing about being able to sing a song,” Warwick tells EBONY. “You hear the joy in her voice. And the album cover is just flawless. You see the happiness in her eyes.” As previously reported on Singersroom, Whitney Houston’s new album “I Look To You” arrived in stores Monday, August 31. Much like her fans, Houston says the release is uplifting. “I left a lot of old luggage behind, and when I did, the blessings just started pouring on me, and the light in my spirit started to lift again.” EBONY, featuring Whitney Houston, hits newsstands Monday, September 7.
