A concert promoter involved in the controversial Toni Braxton impersonator case has come forward with an admission of guilt. Angel Ventura, the man responsible for promoting a concert that landed Toni Braxton impersonator Trina Johnson-Finn behind bars, has reportedly told a judge that he tried to pass the singer off as Braxton. As previously reported on Singersroom, Johnson-Finn was booed off stage at a show earlier this year and was later placed in jail on fraud related allegations. This week, Ventura’s (promoter) lawyer told a Suriname judge that people were charged $53 to see Braxton. While Ventura has admitted to promoting the event as a “Toni Braxton Concert,” Suriname officials are still holding Trina Johnson-Finn behind bars.
